Great little place. Super good food too! First time visit today. I wasn't impressed with the menu but my daughter-in-law arrived first and ordered a few things and I was very impressed. Everything I had was superb. As good as I have had anywhere in the world. Definitely recommend! Update 5/1/23 this place is like a dream come true for me. Great food drinks and cozy atmosphere can't be beat.

I love this place. We’ve been coming as a family since they opened. They’re one of a kind! This is a small, locally owned scratch kitchen restaurant. Everything comes from local farmers and is hand made. They’re the best spot in town for food and atmosphere. They’re a small team with a big impact! Always love coming here

I visited, had the fried green tomatoes, general tso, and my husband had a smash burger and the truffle fries. All of our food was spectacular, served up hot and fresh, and our glasses were never empty. I would recommend 1816 to anyone looking for great food and service

Love this place!! They change their menu fairly regularly but keep the best sellers. A lot of Gluten Free options that are fantastic. I got the Crispy Chicken and was the best chicken I have had in a decade!! Their Potato Pave (think Baklava but with potatoes) is wonderful.

What a phenomenal little restaurant in downtown Corydon, Indiana. I love the interior remade. It looks like original brick on the walls. It’s cozy, but not too small. There is an open dining room as well as a bar area. The service is phenomenal. They greet you when you come in and they are so friendly and attentive. The food is phenomenal. Went and had the crab dip with some drinks the drinks were well made very tasty and the crab dip is phenomenal. Came out, piping hot and hit the spot. If you go to downtown Corrie and make sure you stop in there you will not be let down.

I recently visited 1816 Kitchen and ordered the ramen with chicken, noodles, egg, soy miso broth, green onion, chili, cilantro, and sesame seeds. Overall, it was a very good bowl of ramen. However, I’ve eaten a lot of ramen and the broth didn’t taste like a typical soy miso broth to me. It tasted more like a beef or pork-based broth rather than miso. I’m familiar with the flavor of miso, and this didn’t quite match that profile. It was also a bit sweeter than expected and had quite a lot of cilantro. That said, I’m not complaining—the ramen was still very enjoyable and flavorful. I just think the broth might be different from what’s listed on the menu.

Husband and I have lived a short drive from here for a few years now - finally decided to explore Corydon and were very pleased with this being our first stop! Made a reservation for 6PM. We got there early and were promptly sat (the Harrison County fair is going on, so, not sure if that impacted anything). Our server Rudy was great (helpful and funny). We got the fried green tomatoes and agreed it may be the best we ever had (the pimento cheese was very fresh and the pepper jelly mixed in just elevated it further). I got the fish nuggets and he the general tso pork belly. They were both good, portion on his was much smaller but fine considering how much I had to share. I feel like a lot of reviews are mentioning high prices - being were originally from Louisville they seemed quite normal to me (especially since they pride themselves on locally sourced ingredients). The drink prices were arguably unbeatable ($5-$6 craft beer). We will definitely be back.

Not sure how this place isn’t 5 star! Had an app and knew already our meal would be amazing. Ordered dinner and it was so fresh! We even enjoyed dessert. This was an option that came up when looking for a place to eat and I’m glad we tried it out

We ate at the bar and enjoyed their house made Old Fashion. Justice was a perfect host, recommending dishes and he knew when to join in conversation and to let us be. Very attentive to our needs without hovering. We had the General Tso chicken and Pad Thai . I would have both again!

Whoa! 1816 nails it on all levels! The food was presented wonderfully and tasted even better. Duck Nachos to start, tons of flavor and the fresh toppings finished it well. Quite a large portion as well. Entrees: Special of the night beef tenderloin(filet) beef fried rice and an exquisite sauce. Bison and Duck meatloaf over mash with peas and Gravy. The meatloaf was extremely flavorful the gravy rich and delicious perfectly complimenting the mashed and peas. The portions on the beef tenderloin were amazing beef in every bite and I couldn't even finish the rice. Simply amazing attention to food taste preparation and detail. Service was amazing, good teamwork amongst staff. Slow Wednesday and we showed up kind of late but staff were friendly and inviting. Mayflower mixed drink was top notch as well. Can't wait to go back!
